Certification Assistance Program
This program financially and directly supports and product and ingredient manufacturers to obtain any of the following:

Certification of products to be labeled Safer Choice

Addition of ingredients on EPA's Safer Chemical Ingredient List (SCIL)

Certification of ingredients to be added to Cleangredients (a database of supplier-specific ingredients that are pre-approved for use in Safer Choice Products).
Finding Safer Choice Products
Safer products for cleaning and custodial operations are available through eco-labeled, or third-party certified products. Please see our informational video, available in both English and Spanish, on why and how to find safer products for specific functions, focusing on EPA Safer Choice products and EPA's Design for Environment (DfE) disinfectants. ​​
