Need a Reason to Come to the Roundtable?October 23, 2013
Our Regional Roundtable is next week, October 29th and 30th , in Tacoma. Why should you join us? Many reasons: you’ll be in great company, joined by specialists from diverse fields from around the Northwest; you’ll have ample opportunities to network and brainstorm; you’ll be challenged to think about sustainability in new ways.
But one of the best reasons to attend the Roundtable is the awesome lineup of speakers that you’ll get a chance to hear. We’re bringing together expert speakers from industries that normally don’t co-mingle: Economics, marine services, brewing, technical assistance, trucking, government services, chemical engineering, and many more. Why? Because sustainable development doesn’t come from one field. It requires innovations that cut across sectors. And it requires collaboration between fields and between public and private organizations.
Yoram Bauman, “The Standup Economist,” headlines the list as the Keynote Speaker for the Business Leaders Breakfast on October 30th. For a preview, check out Bauman’s relevant take on the Federal Budget here, or his TEDx talk on the benefits of taxing the things we don’t like (ie. pollution) here.
There’s something for everyone. So please join us for some, or all, of what promises to be an informative and inspiring two days.
